5/2011 - In April with great honor and pride the NLCFD participated in the funeral procession of fallen Jakeland Firefighter Smith.
"Hundreds of firefighters from all across the region paid respects on 4/9/11 to FF Smith in Lego Twp at St Marks Church. Over 50 rigs from Jakeland, Rochelle Heights, Lego Twp, St Lego, Brick Twp, Port Lego, Bergen Heights, North Lereado and Riverside Borough participated in the biggest funeral procession in the history of the Lego Fire Community. "
