7/18/2005- At roughly 1:30 PM, engines 3, and 5 were tonned out for a possible brush fire at 72 Alpine Road. Distpatch reported that there had been multiple 911 calls. This prompted dispatch to put the PLAFD with brush units on standby. Upon arrival, engine 3 reported heavy fire showing and had the brush units respond, as well as the tanker. Car 1 also rolled with this group. With numerous buildings ranging in size now threatened, engine 5 reaquested more regular apparatus ro respond to assist. This sent engines 2, 4, 8, and truck 3 to assist. Mutual aid was now needed for station coverage as well as assistance at the fire. Lego-Opolis sent a ladder to cover station 3 and they also sent a tanker to assist at the fire. Brick Twp sent an engine to cover station 4, and Hubrick sent a tanker and brush to the fire. The fire continued to rage out of control threating a nearby beach as well as more brush along the water. Marines 1 and 2 were sent now to assist. In a short time, fire tore through another small structure sending Air 1 and Hubricks chopper to provide air support.  North Bricksfield was then requested to send an engine to the scene. A state fire marshall unit was also sent. This would be the last of the mutual aid to be called. Almost 24 hours later the fire was out. 3 small buildings were lost and one house suffered major damage. The cause of the fire remains unknown, damage to the area is estimated at over $200,000. The last units cleared almost 30 hours after the fire began. No civilian injuries were reported. 4 firefighters suffered minor injuries.  
 
6/16/2005- While respoding to an activated alarm with engine 5 and truck 3, engine 3 was broadsided by an out of control 18-wheeler and was thrown off the road into the ditch, all 4 crew members suffered injuries, one had to be airlifted by the new LFD air 1. Engine 3 is getting a new Pierce to replace the Sutphen.
 
3/10/2005- L-Town FD assists Brick County during a major flood, while the convoy (L-Town Express is the nickname) responded, they encountered a bridge that had only seconds before collapsed. The LFD with assistance from Legobrook and Brick Twp. The combined forces rescued 52 people. Unfortunatly, some 25 lives were also lost.
The LFD also continued to work on the flood after that.
 
12/16/2004- Engines 1, 2, and 4 responded to a 2 vehicle car fire in the commercial district today. Units remained on scene for about a half an hour. Pics will be added soon.
 
12/09/2004- Long time no updates here... Today the LFD E2 and 6 were scrambled to assist Lego-opolis Fd during a major structre fire. We sent the engines to cover some of their empty stations. However, while on call there, E2 and 6 were tonned for a smoke condition with other Lego-opolis units. The smoke condition did indeed turn out to be a fire. 10/10/2004-
A serious Motor Vehicle Accident occured at about 9AM near the town border. It involved 2 vehicles, 1 vehicle hit the brush and quickly caught flames. The victim of this car suffered severe burns to much of her body, she later died of her wounds.
